2010 Type Club Meeting Information

EAA AirVenture Oshkosh is the annual gathering place for aviation enthusiasts, so it's only natural that many type clubs also hold special events, dinners, and meetings in and around Oshkosh throughout the week.

If your type club plans to meet during EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2010, visit https://secure.eaa.org/airventure/type_clubs.html, complete the online form, and we'll post the information here, as well as in the daily newspaper, EAA AirVenture Today. Acro Sport Dinner/Meeting will be at Robbins Restaurant, 1810 Omro Road, Oshkosh on Thursday, July 29, 6:30 p.m. cocktails with an awards dinner to follow. RSVP to LaFonda Jean Kinneman at 414-529-2609 or go to the Acro Sport tent in the workshop area during AirVenture.

Avid Flyer type club will meet in the overflow camping area at the Seaplane Base, on Thursday, July 29, at 1 pm. Follow signs from bus stop. Hosted by Brett McKinney, Airdale Sport Plane & Supply, 715-369-1343.

Bellanca Champion Club will hold their annual dinner at The Fin 'n Feather, Winneconne, on Wednesday, July 28, cocktails beginning at 6 p.m. Great buffet or order from the menu - pay your own bill. Stop at the Vintage Type Club Hangar for directions.

Delta Builders Group will meet on the porch at Homebuilders Headquarters on Wednesday, July 28 from 11 a.m. to noon. Jim Maher is the contact.

Homebuilders Dinner will be on Thursday evening, July 29 in the Nature Center, beginning at 6 p.m. John Monnett will be the featured speaker. Trams will be available at Homebuilt Headquarters starting at 5 p.m. to provide transportation to the Nature Center if needed. Tickets are available at Homebuilt Headquarters prior to the event; cost is $12.

International Cessna 120-140 Association will meet on Thursday, July 29, in Forum Pavilion #6 from 5:30 - 8 p.m. Catering from Robbins Restaurant. Reservations to be made at the Cessna 120-140 type club hangar.

Lancair Owners and Builders Organization will meet at The Hilton Garden Inn on Thursday, July 29 at 5 p.m. for no-host cocktails; dinner at 7 p.m. Dinner buffet w/grilled chicken or filet of sirloin w/burgundy sauce; 2 salads; 2 potatoes; vegetable; coffee, tea, milk, chocolate or lemon mousse. Reservation Arrangements - Go to lancairowners.com or contact Claudette Colwell at colwells@comcast.net. Reservations required w/payment by July 23 deadline. Cost is $25/person.

Lifetime Member Dinner - Tuesday, July 27, Eagle Hangar. Registration 5:30 p.m., Dinner at 6 p.m.

Mustang II and Midget Mustang dinner at Robbins Restaurant, 1810 Omro Rd, Oshkosh, 6:30 p.m. on July 28, 2010.

Quickie Builders Association will meet on the porch at Homebuilders Headquarters on Thursday, July 29 from 8:30-10 a.m.

Vintage Aircraft Picnic will be held in the Nature Center Tent on Wednesday, July 28 beginning at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are available prior to the event at the Vintage Red Barn.

Zenith and Zenair Builders will meet on Thursday, July 29 at Robbins Restaurant, 1810 Omro Rd, Oshkosh. Roast chicken and beef buffet; cost is $18. Reservations at the Zenith booths 640 & 641. Cocktails at 6 p.m. Dinner and meeting 7-9 p.m.
